Wester is an Electric Vehicle Supply Chain professional with a Ph.D. in complex engineering systems. He has extensive experience with program and project management, big data analytics, supplier industrialization, and capacity planning. He is currently responsible for Lucid Motors’ supply chain capacity expansion with direct reporting to senior executive leadership. He is leveraging his Ph.D. experience to develop scalable analytics and management processes to support capacity planning for future programs.
Wester completed his Ph.D. at the Thayer School of Engineering at Dartmouth College. He received his undergraduate degree at Delft University of Technology in Systems Engineering and Policy Analysis Management with a specialization in Transport and Logistics.
During his PhD, Wester specialized in translating real world systems to mathematics to enable better decision making. Some of the systems he studied are multi-modal supply chains, microgrid-enabled production systems, electrified transportation systems, and interdependent smart city infrastructure systems.
